Aims/priorities: With the goal of helping all communities in the UK and Republic of Ireland tell their stories through writing, the Amazon Literary Partnership supports non-profit literary organisations that empower writers to create, publish, learn, teach, experiment, and thrive.
The grant funding is intended for innovative groups that amplify diverse voices and strive for a lasting impact on writers' lives, the literary and publishing communities and broader society.

This fund aims to support organisations led by and for Black and Global Majority groups that are working for the health and well-being of their communities in innovative and disruptive ways to challenge structural racism, disrupt systemic and discriminatory ways of operating, build community resilience, health and well-being, promote racial and social justice, and leave a legacy for others to build upon.
Funding is for projects and activities that benefit the well-being of Black and Global Majority communities in a holistic way.

Complete surprise and had to read the email twice!
What will you spend your winnings on?
Well, Christmas is around the corner and things are financially tight at the moment as I'm sure it is for most people this time of year so it has definitely eased any concerns about not being able to sort things out - especially when the car insurance is also due!
What would you say to someone to encourage them to play the Oldham Community Lottery?
If you can spare the money, it's nice to be able to give to local causes where you know that it helps people directly.
