Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust - Reducing Veteran Homelessness Programme 2026

Aims/priorities: The programme is focused on strengthening supported housing provision for veterans experiencing, or at risk of, homelessness. There is particular emphasis on increasing the availability and quality of provision for those with more complex and higher levels of need, who may face the greatest challenges in accessing and sustaining accommodation.

Who can apply? Applications are accepted from:

  • Registered charities which can demonstrate relevant experience and engagement in the direct provision of housing for veterans for at least five years
  • Registered social housing providers in England, registered social landlords in Scotland or Wales or Registered Housing Associations in Northern Ireland with at least five years' experience
  • Local authorities
  • Community Interest Companies (CICs) with relevant experience and engagement in the direct provision of supported housing for veterans for at least five years.

Grants can cover most costs associated with a project or activity. The funding can be used for:

  • Volunteer costs and reasonable expenses.
  • Reasonable travel costs, including to enable beneficiaries to take part.
  • Session costs, materials and items to support the project such as art materials, supplies for a breakfast club, laptops or IT equipment to help with project delivery.
  • Accessibility costs (interpreters, translation, accessible formats).
  • Reasonable overheads which reflect the cost to the organisation of delivering this project.
  • Partner costs for collaboration and knowledge‑sharing.
  • Evaluation and learning activities.
