Do you need support with food in Rochdale borough?

Rochdale's Food Solution Network are working hard to ensure food security exists so all people, at all times, have physical access to sufficient, safe and nutritious food. 

In partnership with current food providers, Rochdale Council and Action Together have developed this signposting resource that will help groups, individuals and families get access to food in the borough.

Our Family Action Food Clubs, located in Newbold Youth Centre and Heybrook Children’s Centre, offer a weekly food club to provide families with a wide range of food from Fareshare at the low cost of £4 a box.

Rochdale Soup Kitchen 

Their food service has changed and they are operating Monday, Wednesdays and Fridays 12:30pm-2pm from Champness Hall.
Anyone in need can come to the soup kitchen and will be given a bag of food containing a home cooked meal, tin of soup, bread, cakes, fruit and drinks.

Morrisons Delivery Service for vulnerable and elderly

Vulnerable customers can now phone up and order a delivery from a list of 47 essential items. Shoppers can choose from a ‘takeaway’ menu of 47 essential groceries with options including milk, butter, eggs, potatoes, pasta, bananas, cornflakes and flour. Other items include, chicken breast fillets, Diet Coke, sugar, chopped tomatoes, toilet roll, ready meals (cottage pie or lasagne), broccoli and bread. Customers will need a bank card or mobile phone to pay for the delivery and can use either chip and pin or contactless.

RBH Pantries

Running three pantries in Smallbridge, Kirkholt and Freehold. Families can attend their pantries and pay £4 to receive 10 food items. Also supplying emergency food packs that will go to those experiencing financial hardship or to people who are engaged with their homelessness service. Open Thursdays 9:30am-12 noon.
