Action Together have organised a series of monthly Community Explorers gatherings to network locally. The purpose of these gatherings is to enable voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise (VCFSE) sector groups and organisations within local communities to network with each other to enable them to find out what each other are doing, what else is happening in your area and how Action Together can support you.

The Oldham Food Solution Network is a multi-agency partnership led by Oldham Public Health team and is drawn from various partners and representatives from across the food system. It provides oversight of food activity, supports shared ambitions and finding innovative ways of working which considers the impact of the food system as a whole. To establish a resilient food system that delivers food security for all; tackling inequalities, diet-related ill-health and the environmental impact of the food we produce and consume, whilst at the same time building prosperity through local wealth-building, making Oldham a great place to live, work and play.
The Oldham Poverty Action Group meets with the overall aim to reduce the impact of poverty on the most vulnerable people in the borough of Oldham and in doing so support individuals, families, and communities to move from poverty to financial inclusion. Click here to find out more.
Real Change is a partnership between everyone who wants to end homelessness in Oldham. That’s because we know we’ll struggle to do it alone, but together we can make a difference. If like us you believe that no one should be homeless or beg on our streets, then come and get involved. Whether you are interested in getting involved personally, on behalf of your community group, workplace or college, or as a business, there are many ways you can help including attending the monthly network, fundraising, donating your skills and time and much more.
The Oldham Women’s Network brings together women’s organisations in Oldham to focus on current impacts they are seeing amongst women and girls they work with. The purpose of the Voluntary Sector Leadership Group is to increase strategic involvement, influence and collaboration amongst leaders in Oldham’s voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise (VCFSE) organisations by coming together to ensure that their role in improving the lives of residents in Oldham is recognised, valued and supported by public sector partners. It enables the sector to have a strong voice and influence decision making through representatives with a mandate to speak on behalf of the sector on all strategic partnerships in Oldham.
