At Action Together we recognise community action is taking place across Tameside and we want to encourage and support this action.
Tameside Household Fund
Aims/priorities: Tameside Voluntary, Community, Faith and Social Enterprises (VCFSE) organisations can apply for up to £10,000 to primarily provide support to households in the most need of food, energy and water bills. It can also be used to support households with essential costs related to those items and with wider essential costs. In exceptional cases of genuine emergency, it can additionally be used to support housing costs where existing housing support schemes do not meet this exceptional need.
Use Your Energy 2019 - 2024
Action Together programme funded by Sport England which works with Tameside groups to engage and enable children and young people aged 5-18 years to become more active, more often. We have invested in your active ideas!
Use Your Energy | Return to Play 2024-2025
Due to the success of Use Your Energy we have extended the programme with "Return to Play" to give even more children and young people an opportunity to be more active, more often!
Community Wellbeing
Aims/priorities: Grants are available to support projects/activities delivered by Tameside & Glossop based Voluntary, Community, Faith and Social Enterprise groups that:
Can improve the wellbeing of local people. This can include improving health and wellbeing, tackling poverty or reducing inequality.
Are delivered for a community of place, interest, or identity in one or more neighbourhoods.
Tameside Community Recovery
Tameside Community Recovery Fund is a Participatory Budgeting event where local communities can have a say and vote for their favourite community project.
Let's End Hate Crime
The main aims of these grants are to:
• Raise awareness of what Hate Crime is.
• Increase the reporting of Hate Crime.
Defra Tameside
Groups can apply for up to £500 to help people in crisis access food and essentials (toiletries, household essentials). There must be an additional offer of longer term help e.g., a leaflet with where to go information, variety of formats.
Community Food Poverty Provision Fund (Up to £5,000)
Groups can apply for up to £5,000 to Support Community Food Poverty Provision. This can be existing or new provision.
