Funding to Support Community Businesses Affected by the Coronavirus
Edward Gostling Foundation
The Edward Gostling Foundation (formerly the ACT Foundation) provides grants to UK registered charities with the aim of enhancing the quality of life for people in need, specifically the mentally and physically disabled or those with long-term illness. Two funding streams are now available:
- Small Grants of less than £5,000 available to charities with an annual income of less than £3million.
- Large Grants of more than £5,000.
UK registered charities may apply.
Charities must have been registered for at least three years.
Hope for the Young – COVID-19 Emergency Fund
This charity has set up an emergency relief fund in response to the growing impact of coronavirus/COVID-19, to support young asylum-seekers and refugees during the pandemic.
The funding is intended to support the immediate health and well-being of young asylum seekers and refugees during the current crisis, and to help to relieve destitution and poverty in general.

The Prince’s Trust and NatWest Enterprise Relief Fund
The Prince’s Trust and NatWest have launched a £5million grant fund for young entrepreneurs affected by coronavirus. The Fund is available to entrepreneurs aged 18-30, who can apply for grants and tailored support from today. Grants can be used to maintain core business operations during the crisis, as well as meet any existing financial commitments, such as paying for essential equipment or settling invoices from suppliers. In conjunction with these grants, the initiative will also offer one-to-one support and guidance to applicants who need it.
