Aims/priorities: The Austin and Hope Pilkington Trust offers funding to UK registered charities whose work takes place in the UK and directly supports the theme selected by the Trustees for that year. The field of interest this year is 'Music and the arts; people aged 60 and over'. In particular, it will support projects that focus on the many complex issues that have arisen from the coronavirus/COVID-19 pandemic that address the specific needs of people aged 60 and over.

Aims/priorities: The funding aims to help smaller organisations to adapt and continue to deliver their vital services in light of coronavirus/COVID-19 in order to support families in the short to medium term. This may include normal running costs of programmes which are resuming, or adaptations to existing services to allow them to take place safely. Proposals for the following areas of work will be considered, in no particular order:

Aims/Priorities: This Small Grants Scheme is designed to support charities registered and operating in the United Kingdom, especially those working at grass roots and local community level, in any field, across a wide range of activities. Online applications can be accepted from charities that have an annual turnover of less than £150,000. Our focus will be to make one-year grants only to cover core costs or essential equipment, to enable ongoing service provision, homeworking, or delivery of online digital services to charities that can show financial stability.

Aims/priorities: Schools and not for profit organisations have the opportunity to apply for funding through the Wooden Spoon Society’s Capital Grants programme. Wooden Spoon is the British and Irish Rugby charity which supports projects help mentally, physically disadvantaged children. Each year the charity supports around 70 projects. Aims/priorities: Grants are available to small UK registered charities for building websites or digital products that enable them to carry out their work in a more efficient and effective way, resulting in positive social benefit. The funding is intended to help smaller charities build their online presence. The funding is to be used to build websites or digital products.

Priority projects for support include those in the following areas:

Aims/priorities: The grants programme supports a broad range of creative and cultural projects that benefit people living in England. Projects can range from directly creating and delivering creative and cultural activity to projects which have a longer term positive impact, such as organisational development, research and development and sector support and development.

The funding is for projects that are focused on one or more of the following disciplines:

Aims/Priorities: GMCVO, working in partnership with 10GM, have launched the second stage of a grants programme to support adults from communities of identity or experience, based in Greater Manchester, that may struggle to achieve high levels of mental wellbeing.

Aims/priorities: This funding is available for Rochdale Borough groups who are working towards reopening their place of worship/multipurpose community building and ensuring they can do so safely and following all of the recent government guidelines which have been released.

The fund is to help to ensure that places of worship are maintained to a level which is Covid-safe. This could help with additional cleaning, equipment, signage and collection of personal data.

Aims/priorities: We recognise community action is taking place across the Borough and we want to encourage and support this action.  We are refocusing the Community Response Fund and introducing new priorities with an ‘Equalities Focus’ -available for Rochdale Borough groups.

Aims/priorities: The Community Fund is provided by Comic Relief and administered for organisations in England by community charity, Groundwork, which specialises in transforming communities and the local environment for the better.
