What is #BeeWell



#BeeWell is an initiative in Greater Manchester that aims to make the wellbeing of young people everybody’s business. Co-created with young people, the #BeeWell wellbeing survey will be rolled out across secondary schools from Autumn 2021 onwards to understand young people’s wellbeing. #Beewell will support schools to improve pupil wellbeing and mobilise a coalition of actors to drive positive change in our communities.

Aims/priorities: The purpose of the fund is to help Black and minoritised women's organisations, led-by-and-for women, which have been impacted by the coronavirus pandemic, to support women and girls, dealing with the impact of COVID-19. Eligible core costs and activities include:

Aims/priorities: The objective of the Fund is to reach the groups in England most affected by loneliness during COVID-19 with communications and engagement activity that will help reduce feelings of stigma and encourage people to take steps to help themselves and others. 

Funding is for organisations to continue, adapt or expand existing activity that reaches groups at a higher risk of loneliness and supports the government’s loneliness objectives.

Aims/priorities: The aim of the foundation is to help raise the quality of life in England and Wales, particularly for the young, disadvantaged and older people. 

The funding is for one-off capital projects (not running costs) such as new buildings, major refurbishments, transport and equipment. Rented premises are expected to have a lease of at least 10 years. Applications for transport should be for new, not used, vehicles. Applications for equipment should be for single, high cost (£5,000 and over), durable items.

Aims/priorities: Cargo bikes are cycles specifically designed to carry cargo. They come in a variety of configurations and can be custom-built. A cargo bike with the addition of an electric motor, which assists the rider whilst pedalling, is known as an ecargo bike.

The Government believes that replacing diesel vans with ecargo bikes or electric vans can be a good business decision, as it can help reduce costs, boost the environmental credentials of the organisation and improve the efficiency of deliveries in congested areas.

Aims/priorities: Registered charities, community groups, voluntary organisations and other not-for-profit organisations in the UK can apply for support with initiatives that will make a real long-term difference, benefiting the wider community.

Aims/priorities: Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) is seeking grant applications from GM Voluntary, Community, Faith and Social Enterprise (VCSE) organisations to support GM residents who are at higher risk of lasting health, social and financial impacts from the COVID-19 pandemic and are less likely to engage with mainstream communications approaches. This grants programme is administered by GMCVO.

From October 2021: Healthy Young Minds to be renamed CAMHS (children and adolescent mental health services).

In 2016 they introduced the name Healthy Young Minds for all our children and young people mental health services in Bury, Oldham, Rochdale, Stockport and Tameside and Glossop.  

Over the past five years they are aware that their name, Healthy Young Minds, has caused some confusion for families, children and young people who use of their services - as well as professionals.  

Aims/priorities: Women’s Resource Centre (WRC) is a national charity committed to working towards human-rights by supporting and understanding small specialist women’s groups and charities. Through delivering programmes, creating networking opportunities and by campaigning and influencing decision-makers, the work that WRC does is essential to ensure a diverse and thriving sector that achieves the best outcomes for women.
