Wildbrook Crescent - Community Project

Nestled in the heart of Fitton Hill this community project, a partnership between Oldham Council and Local Food First CIC, seeks to rejuvenate a neglected growing space and fruit orchard, as well as repurpose vandalized buildings, all while nurturing the surrounding nature and wildlife.

The main aim of the project is to improve community access to affordable, healthy food, whilst transforming the allotment and hub into valuable community assets. Notably, the food grown on-site supports the Oldham Foodbank and contributes to a local Community Vegbag scheme.

Please join us in congratulating our member organisation, OBA Millennium Cultural Centre, as they celebrate successfully achieving our Action Together 'Quality in Action Award'.

Based in Featherstall Road North, Oldham, The OBA Millennium Cultural Centre is a non-profit multi-use community centre. The centre offers a variety of services to the local community, including a gym and fitness centre.

Connect 5 - Train the Trainer

Connect 5 is a mental health and wellbeing training programme which aims to provide individuals with the confidence, skills, and techniques to have open and supportive conversations around mental health. 

The Wellness Project CIC are looking to deliver a Train the Trainer course to enable the delivery of more Connect 5 sessions across Greater Manchester. The course will take place over three days (22, 23 and 30 January 2024) in Central Manchester. The first two days are training and on the third day people will deliver a short Micro-teach.
