In April, Rochdale Borough Council Public Health commissioned Link4Life in partnership with artist Len Grant to produce public health annual report (20-21). Grant researched how creativity and the arts had helped our communities through the pandemic and captured the inspirational stories of organisations and individuals in wonderful drawings and words.

After this extraordinary year our lives are unlikely to ever be the same again. We have all been affected in one way or another and for many its been an incredibly tough time. Despite the hardship and losses we have found ways to push through and keep going.

Action Together and the Food Solutions Networks work together to set up a Community Warehouse which is featured in the report.

Kerry Bertram, Strategic Locality Lead for Action Together Rochdale, said: "Everyone was working hard doing their own thing, so we brought all these groups together on zoom, and asked the what they needed. Interestingly it wasn't more food supplies they needed, but more storage and, because some were receiving lots of local donations, a mechanism for distributing what they couldnt use.

"It's a great example of how the public and voluntary sectors, residents and volunteers have all come together to solve a problem."

Some of Action Together's wonderful members and their work are featured. Please read the final report.
