People's Health Trust - Active Communities Funding Programme

Aims/priorities: The People's Health Trust is an independent charity addressing health inequalities across Great Britain. It works closely with 51 community interest companies, using its expertise to help identify local funding priorities and support the distribution of grants. The Active Communities Funding Programme aims to close the gap between those communities which experience the worst health in England, Scotland and Wales and the majority of the population.

Pilgrim Trust - Young Women and Mental Health PLUS Grant

Aims/priorities: The new fund aims to improve the mental health of 16- to 25-year-old girls and young women. Projects are encouraged to be:

  • Gendered appropriate.
  • Age appropriate.
  • Integrated.
  • Substantive equality.

Project delivery costs and core costs (eg salaries or general running costs) are supported.

Barclays’ 100x100 UK COVID-19 Community Relief Programme

Aims/priorities: Barclays will be making donations to UK registered charities to support their immediate COVID-19 relief work in communities across the UK, specifically those  working to support vulnerable people impacted by COVID-19, and to alleviate the associated social and economic hardship caused by the crisis.

Funding will be focused on supporting charity partners who are meeting the immediate needs of Barclay communities, in these four priority focus areas:

GMP ARIS Fund

Aims/priorities: Greater Manchester Police’s Asset Recovery Incentivisation Scheme (ARIS) allows us to reinvest money recovered from criminal activity back into local communities. GMP receives a share of these funds from the Home Office, creating an opportunity to support initiatives that make Manchester safer and stronger. Greater Manchester Police’s Asset Recovery Incentivisation Scheme (ARIS) allows us to reinvest money recovered from criminal activity back into local communities.

Culture Recovery Fund: Emergency Resource Support

Aims/priorities: The Culture Recovery Fund: Emergency Resource Support programme has been established to provide emergency funding for culturally significant organisations in England. Those which were financially sustainable before coronavirus (COVID-19) but are now at imminent risk of failure, having exhausted all other options for increasing their resilience, are being supported. Applicants must be able to demonstrate they are at risk of failure or ceasing to trade viably within 12 weeks of the point of application.

Baring Foundation - Strengthening Civil Society (Tackling Racial Injustice in the Criminal Justice System)

Aims/priorities: The funding is for work which engages with all aspects of the criminal justice system: policing, courts (including the Crown Prosecution Service), prisons, and the probation service. Consideration will also be given to applications which seek to address discrimination and disadvantage arising as a result of contact with the criminal justice system.

This funding will support all types of legal action, whether that action seeks to empower, persuade, challenge, or use a mix of all three.

Santander Foundation - Financial and Digital Empowerment Fund

Aims/priorities: The purpose of the fund is to support charitable organisations that are working with people in society who are experiencing disadvantage - whether through age, education, income, disability or unemployment - to equip them with improved digital and financial literacy skills.

Who can apply? Applications will be accepted from charitable and social enterprise organisations with an annual income above £75,000.
