You may have seen information in the press, or on social media, that a hotel in the Oldham area is currently being used by the Home Office as emergency temporary accommodation for asylum seekers. Whilst the hotel will provide food most asylum seekers will have very few, if any, personal possessions and we are currently seeking donations of the following items if anyone is able to help:
Greater Together Manchester have been successful in securing some funding from GMCVO to develop/ deliver FREE Trauma informed training for grassroots community and faith organisations across Greater Manchester from March- September 2022.
They are currently in the consultation period and will be delivering consultation sessions for people across the region to attend.

Children and young people will feel anxious and worried from time to time. Anxiety is a normal or usual response to uncertainty. The way we respond as parents and deal with our own anxiety plays a significant part in building our children’s capacity to develop resilience.
Making sense of SEND law, training workshops. Returning January 2022.
Due to their popularity last year, they are delighted to be offering additional Making Sense of SEN Law Workshops. Each session will cover a different topic. These sessions are being delivered virtually by Claire Jackson from SENETA. (Special Educational Needs Expert Training and Advocacy Ltd.) Claire has 19 years experience of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.

This consultation will inform Oldham's Priorities for all children and young people with SEND.

Aims/priorities: Funding is intended to support sustainability and increase resilience of organisations working with Black and minoritised women and girls.

Aims/priorities: Funding is intended to support new creative and cultural activities which have been developed for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee in June 2022 and which bring benefit to local people and communities in England.
