The Community Champions programme for Tameside was launched in 2020 to bring communities and individuals together to provide important and relevant messaging on COVID-19 and promote health and wellbeing initiatives in the borough.

To recognise the great work that has been done over the past 2 years we are organising a celebratory and promotional event showcasing both what has been achieved by the group, sharing the future direction of the group and providing the opportunity to speak to current champions and sign up.

This consultation will inform Oldham's Priorities for all children and young people with SEND.

3) Every young person is ready for adulthood

4) Every child and young person is a part of their community

This consultation will ask you for your opinion across 3 topics which include Oldham's SEND mission and vision, together with an introduction to the different types of resource provisions that are being considered in Oldham. 

Aims/priorities: The Get Fishing Fund has been established to support organisations delivering a programme of angling activities throughout 2022. These angling activities should aim to help get more people into fishing and retain them within the sport.

Who can apply? Applications are accepted from angling clubs, fisheries, charities, schools and local authorities in England that want to increase the number of people being introduced to angling.

Aims/priorities: The funding is intended for gatherings and events that connect different age groups together and are representative of diverse communities.

Who can apply? The fund is open to not-for-profit groups and settings.

Grant amount: Grants of £150 are available.

They believe their Virtual Reality Service (Online and Telephone) can tremendously assist in improving your Mental Well-being in the comfort of your own home.

Services provided are:

TOG Mind have secured extra funding to run another three train the trainer courses in February and March 2022. They would like to offer this out to those who accessed their training last year to see if you would like to train any staff within your organisations to deliver connect 5.

You could really benefit from a new small group of Asian Carers who will be coming together to plan what needs to be put in place to help Asian Carers better and find out what matters to them.

Aims/prorities: The Holiday activities and food programme is a government initiative that aims to provide healthy hot food and enriching activities during the school holidays, primarily to children and young people aged 5 to 16 who are eligible for benefits related free school meals. It is funded by the Department for Education (DfE). The aim is for children and young people to socialise, learn and play during the specified holiday periods, enjoy a hot meal and have fun.
