Tameside Futures NEET Grant 2026 -2027

Aims/Priorities: Tameside Futures (TMBC) is pleased to invite organisations to apply for funding through the Tameside Futures NEET Grant 2026/2027.

Funding is available to support projects that help young people who are Not in Education, Employment or Training (NEET) progress into education, employment, or training. We are particularly keen to receive applications for projects that:

  • Provide work experience placements and employment opportunities.
  • Improve young people's employability, readiness for work, and career prospects.
  • Deliver accredited qualifications that remove barriers to employment.

The funding is intended to support NEET young people aged 16-18, or up to 25 years old for care leavers and those with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).

Who can apply: Organisation's with; a governing document (constitution / terms of reference) signed by two or more members, bank account in the name of the organisation with at least two unrelated signatories, relevant public and employers liability insurance, safeguarding policy, risk assessment and confirmation of land ownership if relevant. The funder reserves the right to request additional information to confirm organisational eligibility.

Grant amount:  Grants between £1,000 and £24,999 are available. Any large/expensive equipment must be discussed with the Project Manager at Tameside Council prior to application and appropriate liability insurance must be in place.

Application process: The funding is part of the Crisis Resilience Fund, allocated to Tameside for the period ending 31 March 2027, therefore it is expected that the majority of the intended delivery is completed by this date to enable reporting of the outcomes achieved from this fund. Projects should aim to start before 31st October 2026.
