Education Endowment Foundation (EEF) Fund

Aims/priorities: The Education Endowment Foundation (EEF) grant funding tests the impact of high-potential projects aiming to raise the attainment and wider outcomes of 3 – 18 year-olds, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds. For the February 2022 grant funding round EEF are looking for applications for programmes that have some evidence of promise for this funding round in the three following research priority areas:

Money Saving Expert (MSE) Charity

Aims/priorities: Funded by Money Saving Expert, the MSE Charity gives grants to UK not-for-profit organisations that deliver activities which make a lasting impact on how people think, behave and manage their money. All projects should focus on building financial capability skills for those who need it most and address the theme for that particular round.

Tudor Trust

Aims/priorities: The Trust funds a wide range of organisations working to support positive change in people's lives and in their communities around the UK. It does not have any specific funding programmes to advance any particular agenda, but it is keen to work with organisations that have a real understanding of the challenges facing the communities they support and a clear sense of the difference they seek to make through their work.

Blagrave Charitable Trust - Funding Young People in Policy-Making

Aims/priorities: Funding is intended to support projects which help young people to influence policy that affects them and re-dress power imbalances in policy-making. Work should build accessible and inclusive structures for ensuring young people's voices are heard and acted upon. Work should target either national or local government policy-making, or the policies of large public bodies such as the police or NHS.

Funding may be used for:

Tech Lending Community Fund

Aims/priorities: This fund aims to support organisations that work closely with temporary accommodation services, such as centres for refugees, housing for those at risk of homelessness, or women’s refuges, to establish or further develop Tech Lending Hubs where tablets can be provided to residents on a short-term basis. Funding will enable community groups to ensure that people in temporary accommodation services at risk of digital exclusion have access to a tablet loaning service, whilst reducing e-waste by maximising the use of refurbished digital services.

Sir Jules Thorn Charitable Trust - Innovation and Improvement in Health and Care Fund

Aims/priorities: The new Innovation and Improvement in Health and Care Fund has been launched to support the development of new models of health and care and the integration of health and care services. Funding is available to registered or exempt charities and to NHS organisations for projects that support innovation and improvement in health and care in any area of physical or mental health or disability.

Projects may address any area of physical or mental health or disability, but the Trust will prioritise projects which support:

Tameside Community Champions

The Community Champions programme for Tameside was launched in 2020 to bring communities and individuals together to provide important and relevant messaging on COVID-19 and promote health and wellbeing initiatives in the borough.

To recognise the great work that has been done over the past 2 years we are organising a celebratory and promotional event showcasing both what has been achieved by the group, sharing the future direction of the group and providing the opportunity to speak to current champions and sign up.
