Aims/priorities: The funding aims to support a portfolio of arts and culture projects which work to open up conversations about dying, death and grief in new and creative ways at a grassroots level. The idea is to support hospices to build new partnerships, particularly with arts and cultural organisations.

Hospices need to be working with local groups/community organisations who can help the hospice to reach one of the groups who the hospice has traditionally struggled to support.

Who can apply? Hospice UK member are eligible to apply.

Aims/priorities: The Trust currently offers two funds:

• British Gas Energy Support Fund - currently open to both credit and prepayment meter customers.
• Individuals and Families Fund - currently open to both prepayment meter customers and credit account customers.
   

Both are intended to tackle fuel poverty by clearing the energy debts of struggling households and respond to the ongoing cost-of-living crisis.

Aims/priorities: We want to improve outcomes for people with heart disease around Greater Manchester, and to reduce its impact on lives beyond current NHS provision. To this end, we intend to fund a wide range of projects. 

All applications must demonstrate a close alignment with one or more of NW Hearts Charity’s funding priorities, namely projects that benefit: 

Aims/priorities: This fund aims to support the regrowth and strengthening of the creative sector in Greater Manchester by enabling a variety of projects for artists, performers, musicians, and small arts organisations, such as purchasing new instruments, replacing costumes, and expanding a theatrical group’s wardrobe, or upskilling through training courses.

Who can apply? The following can apply:

Aims/priorities: This fund aims to support initiatives that alleviate poverty and disadvantage in local communities, including working with people who are homeless. 

Who can apply? Organisations working to alleviate poverty and disadvantage across Greater Manchester can apply.

Preference will be given to small-to-medium-sized voluntary organisations. Groups with an annual income of more than £3 million will not be considered. 

Aims/priorities: The funding is intended to support local community events that enhance and enrich the lives of people over the age of 55 to combat loneliness and sometimes isolation ensuring they stay fit, active, healthy and connected and contributing to their local communities.

Who can apply? Applications are accepted from small community groups and charities in the UK.

Priority will be given to applications that have a connection to, and are championed by, a local Home Instead office.

To be eligible, applicants must:

Aims/priorities: This fund aims to support individuals and families who are struggling with everyday costs, such as basic living expenses, household items and utilities, or rent arrears.

Who can apply? Applications will only be accepted from recognised third party social organisation, such as charities, housing associations, schools and social services who are acting on behalf of a family or individual in need.

Priority will be given to:

Aims/priorities: The WorkerTech Fund focuses on supporting early-stage ventures that use technology to improve working conditions and outcomes for people in low-paid or insecure employment. Its objectives include increasing access to better pay, career development opportunities and skills for affected workers.

Aims/priorities: The funding is intended to support evidence-based projects to reduce reoffending and facilitate rehabilitation across the criminal justice system, while enabling VCSE organisations to propose and test mechanisms that align with the recommendations of the Independent Sentencing Review.

Who can apply? Voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations based in England and Wales can apply.

Aims/priorities: The Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) is committed to building cohesive and resilient communities. The Common Ground Resilience Fund was launched in September to support local places, and a key part of this is promoting the important role of the voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) sector.
