Aims/priorities: This fund aims to support Christian organisations to deliver projects that will make a positive and transformative impact on lives and communities and contribute to the following objectives:
- Growing congregations and Christian communities.
- Addressing social challenges facing communities.
- Enabling wider community use of church buildings.
- Empowering Christian education.
Who can apply? Churches, cathedrals, denominational bodies, Christian charities, schools, and theological educational institutions with a clear Christian ethos can apply.
Grant amount: Funding is awarded at the discretion of the trustees.
Multi-year grants of up to three years are available.
Application process: Guidance notes and an online application form are available from the Benefact Trust website.
The average decision time for small grants (up to £10,000) is two months. Larger grants (over £10,000) take between four and six months and are considered at grants committee and board meetings held throughout the year.
