GMCVO are delivering a grants programme to support people from communities of identity or experience, based in Greater Manchester, that may struggle to achieve higher levels of mental wellbeing.
Following the success of year 1 of the programme, a second year has been agreed which will build on the lessons learned and successful projects from the first year. You can find a full list of grants awarded in year 1 here.

My first update in March 2020 suggested we would have been back delivering our face-to-face support services long before now, however as we all know too well, the pandemic has been an emotional rollercoaster for all of us and we have all had to re-write the book both personally and professionally over the last 18 months.

This autumn all young people aged 12 to 15 years are being offered the first dose of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine.
As you know Action Together are involved with a lot of Networks and we are constantly looking at attendance levels to see whether the current format is the best for that network .
We have noticed that the Volunteer and Social Action network has seen its numbers fall and so we are asking if you would fill out a little survey to see whether this network still has a value to all our members. To help you, this is the role of the VSAN :-
Aims/priorities: The pilot fund has been designed to support faith-based organisations build on and expand the good work being carried out locally and to demonstrate the important role they play in tackling and responding to social challenges as the country moves into post COVID recovery and rebuilding of civil society.
To be eligible, applicants must demonstrate how they will meet all the following strategic objectives:
Aims/priorities: The Fund is intended to give organisations the chance to deliver the project they have always dreamed of, but never had the opportunity to bring to life.
The Dream Fund is looking for projects that seek to implement systemic change in order to address an important social or environmental problem.
Systems change involves looking at problems in a macro context and understanding the entire ecosystem of that problem, in order to develop long-term solutions.
Aims/priorities: Be One Percent are accepting applications for grants to create effective funding partnerships and support different areas of poverty alleviation across the developing world.
Twelve projects are available for funding in 2022, with priority given to ‘efficient and effective’ organisations working in the following areas:
Aims/priorities: Does your organisation or group need support to grow your peer support activities? The Greater Manchester Peer Support Innovation Grant is designed to support new or smaller peer support groups with innovative ways of introducing peer support to the community. Applicants can apply for a grant of up to £250 towards their project or event (from a total available funding pot of £2500).
Who can apply? New or smaller VCFSE peer support groups.
