Rethinking Income Streams is a short course ideal for leaders of social enterprises from across Oldham, Rochdale and Tameside who are looking to review their business model, diversify income streams and develop practical plans for long-term sustainability and growth. The programme is offered in partnership with Action Together and the Social Enterprise Academy.
Through a blend of self-directed learning and interactive live sessions, Rethinking Income Streams will support you to:
- Review your current enterprise model in the light of new trading realities
- Evaluate your assets and their fit with the needs of customers and beneficiaries
- Explore the concept of an Enterprising Mindset
- Identify different sources of finance for growth
- Examine different Growth Tools and how they might be applied to your evolving business model
- Explore partnership working as a route to increasing social impact and income generation
Who should apply:
The programme is particularly relevant for social enterprises that have historically relied on grant funding and are now looking to diversify their income streams, explore new trading opportunities, and build greater long-term financial sustainability.
Session Dates:
- Introduction Session: Wednesday 14 October 2026, 10am to 11am (Online)
- Session 1: Tuesday 20 October 2026, 10am to 12pm (Online)
- Session 2: Wednesday 28 October 2026, 10am to 12pm (Online)
Please note, there is self-directed learning required as part of this programme, both ahead of the programme launch, in between sessions and following the final session.
We are looking for participants who are able to commit to all of the above dates as well as the self-directed study.
