Aims/Priorities: The programme to organisations working to deliver activities, support and services aimed at preventing homelessness within the Greater Manchester area. In particular we would encourage applications from organisations that are directly addressing at least one of the following issues:
• Safe Accommodation
• No Recourse to Public Funds (NRPF)
• Growing a community of people accessing services – reducing social isolation and empowering people who attend
We will focus our support on organisations that:
• are embedded within the local community;
• encourage community participation and volunteering;
• have been registered or active for a period of at least 3 years;
• have a track record of delivery; and
• have an annual expenditure of no more than £1m.
Who can apply? Registered charities and constituted community/voluntary organisations
Grant Amount: Up to £5000
Application Process: All applications will be reviewed by the Grant Coordinator at The Charity Service who will also complete due diligence checks on all organisations applying for grant funding. On completion of these checks applications will be reviewed and decisions made by a Grant Committee which is made up of people with lived experience of homelessness and experience of accessing homeless services.
