Ouseley Church Music Trust

Aims/Priorities: The Trust aims to promote and maintain to a high standard the choral services of the Church of England, the Church in Wales and the Church of Ireland.

Who can apply: Applications must be submitted by an institution in England, Wales or Ireland. Usually this will be a cathedral, choral foundation, parish church, choir, or choir school.

Applications fall into the following categories:

  • Courses.
  • Grants for musicians including fees for individual choristers at choir schools.
  • The purchase of liturgical music.
  • Other projects of an innovative kind which may, in exceptional circumstances, include commissions.

Grant amount: Discretionary. 

Application process: The procedures and guidelines can be found on the Trust’s website and applicants are ‘strongly advised’ to read them before starting the online application form, available on the Trust’s website.

Applicants may have an informal conversation in advance of making an application by contacting the Clerk. 

Deadline: There are two deadlines each year:

  • 28 February for applications to be considered at the Trustee meeting in spring.
  • 30 June for applications to be considered at the Trustee meeting in autumn.
