The New Allotment Site Fund

Aims/priorities: Green Allotments, a registered charity, creates new, not-for-profit, private allotment sites for local communities in England at an affordable rent.

The funding is for 'anyone who is passionate about allotments' and willing to collaborate with Green Allotments to get new allotment land in their area. The focus is on community-led management and environmental stewardship, to ensure a sustainable future for allotments. The funder is keen to hear from residents who want to come together and get a new site for their area. Support can be provided to help form an allotment society to manage the new allotment site.

Green Allotments takes the approach of offering a peppercorn lease to the new allotment gardeners who will community-manage as an allotment society.
