Impetus Skills Grant

Aims/Priorities: Impetus is seeking to partner with two non-profit organisations that:

  • Support young people (age 16-24) who are NEET and from disadvantaged backgrounds
  • Deliver work-related skills (either vocational or essential)
  • Aim for employment outcomes for those young people.

There is particular interest in organisations that:

  • Deliver vocational skills training (ie, focusing on specific sectors or roles).
  • Have leadership teams who are representative of the young people they serve.

Who can apply? UK-registered charities, social enterprises or non-profit organisations can apply. Further Education Colleges can also apply if they are delivering a NEET to EET programme.

There is particular interest in organisations working with young people who are:

  • Lower qualified (without GCSEs or A-levels)
  • From Pakistani, Black, Mixed, Gypsy or Irish Traveller backgrounds
