Aims/priorities: The grants support new and innovative projects designed to promote heart health and to prevent or reduce the risks of heart disease in specific groups or communities.
Who can apply? Not-for-profit organisations in the UK with a turnover of less than £1 million are eligible to apply. This includes charities, community groups, voluntary organisations, and sports groups.
Grant amount: Five grants of £15,000 each will be awarded throughout the year as follows:
- One in Scotland
- One in Wales
- Two in England
- One in Northern Ireland
Application process: Application windows for 2023 are as follows:
- Wales: 30 March 2023 to the extended deadline of 11 May 2023.
- England: 11 May 2023 to 8 June 2023.
- Scotland: 6 July 2023 to 3 August 2023.
- Northern Ireland: 17 August 2023 to 14 September 2023.
The grants are available in specific regions at certain times of the year. Applicants should consult the Heart Research UK (HRUK) website to confirm the deadline in their area prior to making an application.
