Aims/priorities: The funding is intended for voluntary organisations who are working to improve the health and wellbeing of people in their community.
The Foundation is taking a broad approach in the areas of work it supports because the causes of poor health, loneliness and social exclusion are complicated. This means the type of projects that improve health and wellbeing outcomes are quite varied.
The funding is for work that address the following project themes:
- Chronic disease
- Disability inequity
- Healthcare IT
- Health disparity
- Preventative care
- Young people
Who can apply? Applications will be considered from non-profit-making voluntary sector organisations who are working to improve the health and wellbeing of people in their local community.
Organisations with the following legal structures may apply:
- Registered charities
- Community Interest Companies (CICs)
- Community groups, such as local clubs and associations (for example, youth groups and environmental clubs)
- Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs)
- Social enterprises, businesses with a social or environmental purpose
- Faith-based organisations.
