Greater Manchester - Foundational Economy Innovation Fund

Aims/priorities: The funding is intended to support innovative projects that address key challenges in Greater Manchester's foundational economy sectors, specifically health and social care, early education and childcare, and the local high street. It aims to encourage the use of technology in care, expand early education provision and workforce capacity, and boost sustainability, financial management, and use of space in hospitality and retail.

Who can apply? Organisations operating in the following sectors in Greater Manchester can apply:

  • Health and Social Care
  • Early Education and Childcare
  • The Local High Street

Grant amount: Successful projects will receive a grant of up to £11,000 to test out their idea over nine months.

Applicants who receive Testing phase funding will be able to apply for Scale-up phase funding (up to £60,000) at a later date.
