Aims/priorities: The programme aims to widen access to creative careers for underserved young people aged 11–24 by addressing local barriers, developing skills and confidence, and increasing awareness of career opportunities within the creative industries. It supports innovative, locally led projects that connect young people with creative professionals, employers and practical experiences, supporting their progression towards further training, paid placements and employment.
Who can apply? The fund is open to UK-based creative industry organisations, including Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), charities and Community Interest Companies (CICs).
Individuals, freelancers and sole traders cannot apply as lead applicants, but can participate as partners through an eligible lead organisation. Local authorities, combined authorities and mayoral strategic authorities cannot lead applications, but may partner with an industry organisation that acts as the lead applicant.
The fund particularly welcomes applications from the devolved nations and is keen to support paid traineeship opportunities throughout the UK.
Applicants should demonstrate how the proposed activities will address the identified need, overcome barriers to accessing creative careers and benefit the young people they aim to support.
Grant amount: Up to £4,000 are available.
