Cycle and Stride for Active Lives - TfGM

Aims/priorities: Cycle and Stride for Active Lives is an exciting initiative from TfGM that supports community groups and people in Greater Manchester to become more active through walking and cycling. The aim is to reach communities who experience more barriers when it comes to walking and cycling. We will work with approximately 60 different communities, charities, faith groups and schools over the next three years to improve access to cycling and walking. We will do this through grants, training, online support, activities and events, all with the support of incredible local champions and volunteers.

Successful applicants will receive:

  • A grant of up to £10,000
  • Support from an experienced active travel officer to help plan and deliver your project
  • Cycle Training, led cycles & walks and much more

Who can apply? Community organisations across Greater Manchester can now apply to join the Cycle and Stride for Active Lives project and deliver an Active Travel Community Resource that will help inspire more people to walk, cycle or wheel.
