Consortium – LGBT+ Fund: Youth Advocacy Fund

Aims/priorities: This fund aims to enable organisations supporting LGBT+ youth across the UK to be well-resourced, sustainable, and resilient, to build confidence and independence in LGBT+ young people. 

Who can apply? Applicants must be one of the following: 

  • A UK-based not-for-profit group that supports LGBT+ young people between the ages of 14 and 25 look to fund a youth specific project led by and for the LGBT+ community.
  • A UK-based not-for-profit group that is looking to create a new recurring LGBT+ youth group or project within its current service.

Groups must have been delivering youth work for a minimum of two years.

Priority will be given to organisations in historically underfunded areas within the LGBT+ sector, such as the North-East, East, Southwest of England, the Devolved Nations, areas lacking provision, and/or work that supports intersectional LGBT+ communities. 
Groups must provide the following:

  • A constitution/governing document.
  • Information on two or more unrelated trustees, committee/board members, or directors.
  • A correspondence address and contact details.
  • An up-to-date, relevant, and appropriate Child Safeguarding Policy which has been reviewed within the last year. 

Grant amount: A total of £500,000 is available.

Grants of between £10,000 and £50,000 are available.
