Access Foundation - Digital Divide Grants

Aims/Priorities: Grants are available for charities and not-for-profit organisations in the UK for projects that benefit disadvantaged people, including those left behind – or at risk of being left behind – by increasing digitisation in society. It aims to support people and communities as well as the natural environment within the UK.

Who can apply: Applications may only be made by charities and not-for-profit organisations.

Applicants that are not registered with the Charity Commission in England and Wales, the Scottish Charity Register or the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland must provide the following information:

  • Their country of tax residency.
  • Their registration number with the relevant tax authority (and the registration number with any other regulator).
  • Details of any tax exemptions because of charitable or not for profit status.

Grant amount: Grants of between £20,000 and £50,000 are available for projects lasting up to one year. In exceptional cases, the Foundation may consider supporting a longer running multi-year project.

Application process: The guidance notes and application form can be found on the Access Foundation website.

The first step is to register on the funder's application portal.

There are no deadlines for applications. The Foundation aims to notify applicants a decision within 16 weeks of receipt of application, though 'it could be much sooner'.

Deadline: None - Applications can be submitted at any time
