FavourCare Digital Help CIC is a growing community interest company with grant funded projects across Greater
Manchester. This volunteer role supports the financial health and compliance of the organisation, helping to
ensure funds are managed accurately, payroll is processed correctly, and the organisation meets its reporting
obligations to funders and regulatory bodies.
This role is ideal for a qualified or part qualified accountant, or someone with significant payroll and bookkeeping
experience, who wants to apply their skills in a meaningful community setting.

- End Date: 31st December 2027
- Volunteer: Weekly
- Availability: Tuesday AM, Wednesday AM
- Tasks: Maintaining accurate, up-to-date bookkeeping records using the organisation's accounting system (or
supporting the introduction of a suitable system if one is not yet in place)
• Preparing monthly management accounts and financial summaries for the Project Lead and Board
• Processing payroll for paid staff and sessional workers, ensuring compliance with HMRC PAYE requirements,
including RTI submissions
• Managing pension contributions and auto-enrolment obligations in line with The Pensions Regulator
requirements
• Supporting the preparation of funder financial reports, including expenditure claims and budget versus
actual statements, in line with grant conditions
• Tracking project expenditure against individual grant budgets to ensure funds are spent in line with funder
terms and conditions
• Supporting the year end accounts process and liaising with any external accountant or auditor as required
• Advising the Project Lead on financial controls, policies, and processes appropriate to a CIC of FavourCare's
size
• Ensuring appropriate financial records are maintained in line with Companies House requirements and CIC
regulations
• Processing volunteer expense claims accurately and in a timely manner

• Induction into FavourCare's ways of working, governance structure, and CIC legal framework
• Data protection and confidentiality briefing
• Briefing on FavourCare's current financial position, grant conditions, and funder reporting requirements
Additional briefings may be arranged as the organisation grows or as new funding streams are secured. - Requirements: Relevant qualification or training, Willing to travel by public transport or find own way to volunteering location
