The Level 2 Award in Support Work in Schools is designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge needed to work with children and young people in an educational environment. Topics include communication, child development, safeguarding, health and safety, and planning activities. This course will be held online Via Microsoft Teams; students will need to attend Rochdale Training on the 1st of September to sign up and complete the application forms. Once this session is completed, successful candidates will then complete the course online.
Throughout the course, you will build an understanding of how schools operate and gain the knowledge required to support teachers and pupils in both primary and secondary settings.
This qualification is a great first step towards a career as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar support role and can also help you progress onto higher-level qualifications. You will be guided throughout by a specialist tutor.
