As a Voluntary Director, you will help shape the strategic direction of the organisation while ensuring it is well governed, financially responsible, and focused on delivering maximum community impact. This is a governance role rather than an operational position, although directors may choose to support activities and events where appropriate.

Key information

  • Volunteer: Weekly, Fortnightly, Monthly
  • Tasks: Attend board meetings (typically one meeting per month).
    Contribute to the organisation's strategic planning and development.
    Ensure the organisation complies with legal and regulatory requirements.
    Help oversee finances and organisational sustainability.
    Support fundraising and partnership opportunities where possible.
    Promote the organisation within your professional and community networks.
    Act in the best interests of APlace2Belong CIC and the communities we serve.
    Provide constructive challenge and independent judgement to support effective decision-making.
    Help identify opportunities for growth and innovation.
