Group Support Volunteer

Aims: Alongside our Wellbeing Group Facilitators, our Group Support Volunteers ensure all new and existing Service Users are empowered to engage with group activities which promote social interaction and mental wellbeing across Rochdale, Middleton, Heywood, and surrounding areas. Our Group Support Volunteers are a key part of the welcome Service Users receive when joining groups, offering a welcoming smile, a reassuring word, and a listening ear. With the support of our Group Facilitators and other staff, our Group Support Volunteers co-design and co-facilitate a diverse range of opportunities for improving wellbeing ranging from physical activity, creative engagements, peer-support and social sessions, and more. Our Group Support Volunteers are a key part of our mission to ensure that people do not face mental health issues alone and can lead their lives free from stigma and discrimination.
