Welcome Team Volunteer

Welcome Team Volunteer Task Description Aims: Alongside the Gateway Services Team, our Welcome Team Volunteers ensure all new and existing Service Users, alongside other visitors, are welcomed into the Wellbeing Centres at Rochdale and/or Middleton. Our Welcome Team Volunteers offer key support at what, for some, can be a daunting first step towards accessing mental health support and our services, and provide a friendly, familiar face throughout our Service Users’ journeys. Our Welcome Team Volunteers are a key part of our mission to ensure that people do not face mental health issues alone and can lead their lives free from stigma and discrimination. Tasks: 1. To welcome visitors to the Wellbeing Centre, putting them at ease, and communicating with the appropriate members of staff for the services for which they are engaging 2. To deal with general enquiries for the centre and signpost to the relevant staff member or service 3. To encourage and assist visitors to complete evaluation surveys and referral forms (digital, paper, or other methods) 4. To ensure visitors to the centre sign in and out of the centre to ensure health & safety records are accurate 5. To provide reception cover and assist with admin tasks 6. To abide by Mind’s Equal Opportunities Policy, and all other Mind Policies 7. To attend regular supervision with a named member of Mind Staff 8. To complete and attend any relevant training
