To support Heywood Uniform Hub by helping wash, dry, iron, and label donated school uniform so it is clean, fresh and ready to be redistributed to local families. The role helps ensure children across Heywood can access good quality preloved uniform free of charge while supporting sustainability and reducing textile waste.

- Tasks: • Wash and dry donated school uniform and related items
• Check clothing for cleanliness and basic quality before returning items
• Fold / iron and label cleaned uniform ready for storage or distribution
• Occasionally help sort donations by size or school
• Communicate with the volunteer team regarding collections and returns of laundry items
• Handle donations respectfully and hygienically - Training: No formal qualifications are required. Volunteers will receive guidance on the laundry process, hygiene expectations, and how uniform is sorted and prepared for families. Ongoing support will be available from the volunteer team.
