This is a parenting support circle for African parents in Tameside.
Volunteers will help the monthly in-person parenting circle small group where parents come together to talk, share ideas, and learn how to take care of their children in a kind and positive way. You will help make sure everyone feels safe, welcome, and respected.

- Tasks: Volunteers will:
- Help set up the room before the group starts and after
- Welcome parents and make them feel comfortable
- Listen while people share their thoughts and experiences
- Encourage everyone to be kind and respectful to each other
- Help the lead facilitator run the group activities
- Make sure everyone feels included, no matter where they come from
- Keep what people share private and safe - Training: Safeguarding level 1
- Requirements: Willing to travel by public transport or find own way to volunteering location
- Interests: Domestic violence, Families, Health and wellbeing, Immigrants, Mental Health, Race and Ethnicity, Refugees, Social care, Women
- Activities: Befriending, Providing advice, Reception, Support Work
- DBS Check: Yes
