Saddleworth Community Projects has joined the international Repair Café Foundation, and we will be running a monthly Repair Café at Uppermill Methodist Church. 
Repair Café is a neighbourhood initiative that promotes repair as an alternative to tossing things out, and brings people together to achieve that.
Key information
- Start Date: 5th August 2025
- Volunteer: Monthly
- Availability: Saturday AM, Saturday PM
- Tasks: As a first step, we are looking for people with different skills who can be present as repair experts during our Repair Café meetings. We are especially looking for people who are handy with:
 Clothing / textiles
 Electrical appliances
 Bicycles
 Furniture / wooden objects
 What else can you think of?
 In addition, we are looking for people interested in hosting the reception at Repair Café meetings and serving refreshments, and also to help us with our online presence, so that people know all about us!
