FOOD Club volunteer-Hollinwood

The FOOD clubs are intended to help people to gain access to good quality food at a substantially discounted price and at the same time we endeavor to tackle the issue of food waste. Our volunteers are vital in continuing to deliver this critical programme to the local communities.

Tasks the volunteer will be required to do:

Some of the tasks are taking delivery of the week's food from Fareshare, practise good hygiene by ensuring the area is clean and free of any risks. Making sure the delivery is accurate and all items are within date. Putting together boxes of food for the food club members. Run the club and deal with customers in a friendly and professional manner. Complete checklists demonstrating our rigorous hygiene and safety measures. Lifting crates and tidying up at the end.

Training:

We will provide Food Hygiene level 2, Allergy Awareness, Manual Handling training.

Skill and Qualifications Required:

We are looking for reliable and committed volunteers. Our volunteers need to be friendly, non-judgemental and have a willingness to help their communities.
