Street Ambassadors

Street Ambassador / Donated items volunteers Action Together are coming together with different charitable organisations over the winter period (and ongoing) to help provide vital food supplies and donations of good condition digital equipment to people in need in the borough of Rochdale, so we are launching our appeal for volunteers to become “Street Ambassadors” Why is it important to donate food? Food banks in the UK distribute food to those in need, including the homeless. It provides a service that is, unfortunately, a necessity in this modern age. The fierce rise in food poverty in the UK, and elsewhere, means that more and more people are going hungry. Children are going to bed hungry at night, as their parents struggle to feed them. Parents are skipping meals just to make sure their children have something to eat. Donations of good condition digital equipment (tablets, laptops, mobile phones and games consoles) will be refurbished by The Digital Tech Library Consortium for redistribution to people who are experiencing digital poverty. We value your local knowledge and networks and your ability to talk to local people in ways that are familiar and right for them, have conversations with your friends, family, neighbours, networks and contribute to Good Help.
