Singing for the Brain is a stimulating group activity for people at early to moderate stages of dementia.
This role involves setting up the room and refreshments in advance and then supporting people to attend so that they can relax and get as much from the experience as possible.

- Tasks: Preparation of teas and coffees. Welcoming participants. Handing out song sheets. Supporting people to participate through out the session. Chatting to people and helping them join in and relax.
- Training: Applicanrs to volunteer will need to complete some learning that introduces them to what we do and what we expect. Volunteers will need to complete on line training (paper versions can be offered) and all volunteers have access to training workshops in a variety of subjects.
- Requirements: Willing to travel by public transport or find own way to volunteering location
- Skill And Qualifications Required: The ability to sing well is not required but good communication skills and an interest in people living with dementia is essential.
