Volunteer and Social Action Network

As you know Action Together are involved with a lot of Networks and we are constantly looking at attendance levels to see whether the current format is the best for that network .

We have noticed that the Volunteer and Social Action network has seen its numbers fall and so we are asking if you would fill out a little survey to see whether this network still has a value to all our members. To help you, this is the role of the VSAN :-

To support its membership through sharing information about upcoming events and volunteering opportunities and good practice, as well as highlight areas of concern and gaps in volunteering and get involved with issues that we believe we can make a difference through various communication channels including the newsletter. Action Together will also offer bespoke support when and if needed .

We have had guest speakers who have come along to advertise there offers within the borough, these have included DBS, Rochdale Training, Angie’s Angels, The Bond Board and many others, we have also highlighted good news stories or monthly spotlights and we map each member of VSAN, assets, volunteers training and sharing resource offers.

Finally the VSAN has connected hundreds of organisations to services within the borough whether at the meetings or in follow up e-mails .

The latest ideas have been to start a volunteering into employment scheme (just had our first meeting about this) click here to see the write up from that event .

We would be very grateful if you could fill out this short survey no later than Monday 18 October 5pm.
