Aims/priorities: The Fund is designed to support organisations to move beyond basic awareness of trauma and embed trauma-responsive environments within their services, systems, and setting
All proposals must align with at least one of the priorities below. Strong applications will demonstrate a clear understanding of trauma‑informed principles, explain how these principles will be applied in practice, and set out robust outcome measures to show meaningful improvements in wellbeing and resilience.
- Improve Spaces - Make physical environments more welcoming, safe, and trauma responsive, for example through improved design, layout, or equipment.
- Training and Education - Deliver trauma responsive training for staff or volunteers that goes beyond basic awareness and demonstrates measurable impact.
- Policies and Procedures - Review and improve organisational policies and processes to better reflect trauma informed principles.
- Learning, Reflection and Evaluation - Gather feedback, run reflective practice sessions, and develop systems to continuously improve trauma responsive delivery.
Who can apply: Constituted voluntary, community or social enterprise (VCSE) group or organisations, operating in Greater Manchester for the benefit of Greater Manchester residents.
CICs are required to have a minimum of three directors and an asset lock.
Companies limited by guarantee will need a minimum of three directors, and within their Articles of Association a statement about their purpose and social impact, a not-for-profit clause, a director remuneration clause as well as a clause stating that assets will be distributed to another not-for-profit organisation fulfilling similar objects if they dissolve
Grant amount: Grants of £5,000 to £10,000
