As the largest passenger train operator outside of London, Northern connects people and communities across the North of England. But it’s not just about running trains; we are committed to making a positive difference wherever we can, and this is reflected in our vision, which is ‘to make a positive impact for the North in all we do and for all we serve’.
Aims/priorities: This fund aims to support UK-based registered charities to deliver projects and activities that make a positive contribution to people’s lives through the arts. Funding will support projects and activities that engage people of all ages in the arts, skills development in the arts and heritage sector, and projects that support local and regional arts organisations and museums.
Who can apply? UK-registered charities with an annual turnover of less than £3 million can apply.

We did it! Following months of hard work from our Volunteering Team, and colleague support from the wider Action Together team we are delighted to have achieved Volunteer Centre Quality Accreditation (VCQA). This is a re-accreditation of the award for us in Oldham and Tameside, but this is the first time we have been recognised for our work in Rochdale too.
