Thomas Wall Trust - Grants for Registered Charities

Aims/Priorities: The Trust views communication skills as critical capabilities for people who want to improve their employment prospects, self-confidence, resilience, and life chances.

The funding is for registered charities that are working to develop communication skills for people from disadvantaged groups who want to improve their employment prospects.

Greater Manchester – Cancer and Inequalities Fund

Aims/Priorities: This fund aims to support projects that will help increase early cancer diagnosis rates in communities that are at higher risk of a later-stage diagnosis.

In Round Three, funding is for projects that will test practical interventions that may help improve early diagnosis rates as well as continue to learn about the barriers and challenges communities face when it comes to early diagnosis and accessing timely and appropriate healthcare.

Who can apply? To apply, groups must:

Education Endowment Foundation (EEF) Fund

Aims/priorities:

The Education Endowment Foundation (EEF) grant funding tests the impact of high-potential projects aiming to raise the attainment and wider outcomes of 2–19 year-olds, particularly those from socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds.

The EEF’s funding rounds now focus on particular topics, and projects will be funded within selected themes under these topics.

Windrush Day Grant Scheme 2025

Aims/priorities:

The Windrush Day Grant Scheme is part of the Government's work to create more resilient communities, where different religions, cultures and opinions are celebrated, underpinned by a shared set of values that champion tolerance, freedom and equality of opportunity.

For 2025, the focus is on bringing communities together – across different ages and ethnic backgrounds – to commemorate, celebrate, and educate their local area about the contribution of the Windrush generation and their descendants across the United Kingdom.

BT Group Apprenticeship Fund

Aims/priorities: The BT Group Apprenticeship Fund aims to support SMEs, charities, and public sector organisations across England by providing access to £4 million in apprenticeship funding over four years.

The programme utilises the apprenticeship levy, a government initiative introduced in 2017, which requires companies with a wage bill exceeding £3 million to contribute 0.5% of their payroll to fund apprenticeships. Businesses can also transfer up to 50% of their unused levy to other organisations under new rules from April 2024.
