Aims/priorities: This fund aims to support a variety of projects and activities that make local communities a better place and improve the lives of those within them.

Who can apply? Any not-for-profit organisation that makes a positive difference to the community is encouraged to apply, however, applicants not normally considered include:

• Applications from individuals
• Projects that promote political activities or involve animals
• Commercial enterprises

Grant amount: Up to1,000.

Aims/priorities: The aim of the Trust is to give people of all ages a better quality of life by enabling them to understand, participate in and enjoy the arts, particularly the performing arts (music, drama, opera and dance).

Who can apply? The Trust mostly supports registered charities.

Applications will also be considered from social enterprises, community groups, and other third sector organisations, as long as they are formally constituted and have clear charitable purposes.

This September, Action Together are delighted to be launching our new Prevention Networks across the borough of Rochdale.

Delivered in partnership with Public Health, our Prevention Networks are a space in each township, bringing together public sector, VCFSE sector and community leaders to build local relationships, understand the neighbourhood together and share information about Health and Wellbeing.

As the largest passenger train operator outside of London, Northern connects people and communities across the North of England. But it’s not just about running trains; we are committed to making a positive difference wherever we can, and this is reflected in our vision, which is ‘to make a positive impact for the North in all we do and for all we serve’.

Aims/priorities: This fund aims to support UK-based registered charities to deliver projects and activities that make a positive contribution to people’s lives through the arts. Funding will support projects and activities that engage people of all ages in the arts, skills development in the arts and heritage sector, and projects that support local and regional arts organisations and museums.   

Who can apply? UK-registered charities with an annual turnover of less than £3 million can apply.

Aims/priorities: The Community Engagement Fund exists to engage communities and raise awareness of priority Home Office policy areas and the support available. The funding is provided by the Home Office.

Some nationality groups, including Bangladesh, Pakistan, Nigeria, Ghana and India, despite possibly having been impacted, are not coming forward for compensation to the Windrush Compensation Scheme.

Aims/priorities: The Marsh Awards recognises community-led groups who come together for peer support both face-to-face and online, in England and Wales.

Peerfest are working with the Marsh Charitable Trust to reward 10 outstanding community-led groups across 5 categories:

• Overcoming Barriers and Small Groups,
• Creativity,
• Sustaining Ourselves,
• In Connection, and Young People.
