Aims/priorities:

The Fund supports efforts to achieve social, economic and environmental justice and to end imbalances in wealth and power. It also gives people a say in where the money goes and is an alternative fund for those who struggle to get funding elsewhere.

In recognition of the cost of living crisis, Edge Fund supports mutual aid groups i.e. those focusing on covering immediate needs whilst recognising and organising against the systems that cause these inequalities in the first place.

Aims/priorities: Funding is intended to support people of colour in the UK who want to create and deliver a new cultural project.

The programme supports creativity in all its forms, including poetry, paintings, fashion, zines, music, food, flowers, photographs, workshops, events or something else completely.

Who can apply? Applications are open to UK-based individuals, aged over 18, who and identify as a person of colour (Black, Asian, Brown and/or part of the Global Majority).

Aims/priorities:

The funding is intended to support people from the following groups move toward paid employment:

• The recently homeless or vulnerably housed.
• Ex-offenders.
• Young people (16-24 years old) not in employment, education or training (NEET).

Aims/priorities: The funding is designed to provide support to grassroots football organisations working with children under the age of 18 to enable them to continue to deliver activities that allow local young people to take part.

Who can apply? Applications are open to grassroots football clubs across the UK. Groups must be constituted and have a governing document and safeguarding policy in place.

Only one application per organisation will be accepted.

Aims/priorities: This fund aims to support the provision of cycle parking across Greater Manchester. Funding will support the installation and improvement of a range of cycle parking facilities that enable and encourage people to travel more by bike, including but not limited to staff, pupils, residents, patients, and visitors.

Aims/priorities: Social investment is a form of repayable finance tailored to voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations, including community groups and charities, to support them to deliver their social impact.

Whether you address social needs, aim to strengthen communities, improve people’s life chances, enhance culture or protect the environment - if your business trades (or aims to trade) for the common good, or is looking to create community assets, social investment could be right for you.

Aims/priorities: This fund aims to improve the health and wellbeing of communities across Greater Manchester by encouraging people who are usually less active to start or increase the amount they regularly walk or wheel this autumn/winter.

Aims/priorities: The funding is for organisations to help and run local, regional or national projects that can be up and running as soon as possible once the funding has been awarded (from autumn/winter 2023).

The grants will support children and young people aged 21 years and younger who are on:

Aims/priorities: The McCarthy Stone Foundation is offering 30 grants of up to £1,000 each to support local groups that are organising events and activities for people over the age of 65 years during the festive period (1 December 2023 and 2 January 2024).

The funding is intended to help older people who may be isolated or lonely, particularly during this time.

The grants can be used for a number of different things, including but not limited to:

Aims/priorities: This funding is for organisations to give extra support to young people in areas where they may be at risk of anti-social behaviour. We want to fund extra hours of youth work for additional activities that give these young people more places to go and positive things to do.

This programme is funded by the Department of Culture Media and Sport (DCMS) and The National Lottery Community Fund.
