Aims/priorities: The aim of the grants is to support new and innovative projects that achieve that support the delivery of positive outcomes for blind and partially sighted people in at least one of the priority areas of education, employment, engagement, and collaboration and sustainability.

Who can apply? Registered charities based in the UK can apply.

Grant amount: Most grants will be around £10,000 or less. However, larger amounts will be considered in exceptional circumstances.

National Lottery Heritage Fund - Heritage Innovation Fund

Aims/priorities: Funding is intended to build innovation capacity within, across and between different parts of heritage around a shared priority challenge area: the workforce, skills and ways of working needed for the future. Funding should allow organisations to explore, test and grow new ways of working needed to support the future of heritage.

Challenges which may be addressed include:

  • Ways of working.
  • Who is part of the heritage workforce.
  • What skills are needed.

Who can apply? 

Sea-Changers Innovation Fund

Aims/priorities: The Sea-Changers Innovation Fund aims to encourage new approaches to marine conservation challenges and accelerate possible solutions to issues such as climate change, pollution, over-fishing and the decline of key marine species that are affecting the UK's coast and seas.

In 2022 the £30,000 fund will be split equally between the following three areas:

Art Fund - Reimagine Grants

Aims/priorities: The funding is mostly for organisations that hold collections, which may include fine and applied art and design, archaeology and/or social history. They will also be committed to delivering activity that increases public access to these collections, which has public benefit and aligns with Art Fund’s charitable objectives.

Who can apply? 

Mutual Aid Fund

Aims/priorities: We want to support groups who are in the process of transitioning and are facing distinct challenges in adapting post-COVID. This means funding specific projects/activities aimed to strengthen your group in a way that better responds to your reality post-COVID (e.g. evolving community needs or your group’s capacity).

Aims/priorities: The #BeeWell Youth Steering Group have been granted a small pot of money to support activity in responses to the #BeeWell survey findings.The full report and neighbourhood dashboard can be found here. We would like to support responses to these findings by commissioning two pieces of work in the Greater Manchester youth and play sector.
