The Freelands Foundation is pleased to announce that it now has emergency funds to support artists and freelance creative practitioners in urgent need of financial support as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic across the UK. The foundation will provide hardship grants of between £1,500 and £2,500 per person to enable individuals, including those on short-term PAYE contracts, to survive financially while they explore other ways of sustaining themselves, assessed by need.

Grants are available for organisations supporting young people at risk of youth violence in England and Wales. Through its COVID-19 grant round, YEF aims to reach and help vulnerable children (aged 10-14) at risk of youth violence who, as a result of coronavirus/COVID-19 and social distancing measures, have lost the support they rely on and have become increasingly invisible. It will fund and evaluate work taking place in England and Wales that both supports these vulnerable young people and can be delivered while adhering to UK government social distancing and stay-at-home guidelines. 

Grants to support small organisations working in the swimming and aquatic community in the UK so that they can continue to operate during the coronavirus/COVID-19 crisis. The Fund has been established to help small swimming and aquatics organisations meet their obligations during the outbreak and can help support fixed costs or loss of revenue. Applications will only be considered if they relate specifically to the financial impact on the applicable organisation of the Coronavirus/COVID-19 pandemic during the period from 01 March 2020 to 31 July 2020.  

Support Adoption For Pets funds projects which have a direct impact on animal welfare. In light of the current coronavirus situation, they will currently only fund:

• Vet bills
• Boarding costs
• Food
• Salaries of (non-furloughed) animal care staff
• Utilities and consumables

Grants are targeted at improving the social and emotional wellbeing of children and young people and their capacity to engage in education and learning. Due to restrictions placed on the UK population because of COVID-19 Buttle UK they will not be providing funding for leisure activities, family days out, counselling or anything that involves being in the community for the foreseeable future. For the duration of these restrictions the support will focus more on:

The Schroder Charity Trust is an independent grant-making Family Trust that has been supporting the charitable and voluntary sector for over 70 years.  They make grants of up to £5,000 to support: 

This grant scheme support for teachers, teaching assistants, nursery workers, caretakers and lunch supervisors who have worked within the education sector for at least five years. The grants can be used to help with bills, household costs, travel or other essentials. They are not loans and it costs you nothing to apply.

In response to the coronavirus pandemic, Power to Change have launched a £12 million crisis support package to provide immediate and medium-term support for community businesses supporting the vulnerable and isolated in England.

The emergency package includes £7 million in rescue funding, which offers grants of up to £25,000 to contribute to trading incomes losses incurred between April and June 2020. This will initially be available to current and previous Power to Change grantees and to community businesses which are members of Co-operatives UK, Locality and Plunket Foundation.
