Colin Drawbridge was one of our Tameside Neighbourhood Volunteers during the height of the pandemic. He was part of a huge team of volunteers carrying out Action Together’s Foodbank Doorstep Donation Scheme, helping to ensure that Tameside’s foodbank could meet the rising demand for their services.
Aims/priorities: GambleAware is an independent charity that commissions evidence-informed prevention and treatment services across Great Britain. Funding is intended to support the long-term recovery and rebuild from gambling which might be needed for people to live happy and health lives.
Who can apply? Constituted not-for-profit organisations with a board of Trustees or Directors (ideally three unrelated people) in Great Britain may apply.
Aims/priorities: Grants are available to not-for-profit groups for projects which support communities to address gambling harms in light of the cost-of-living crisis in Great Britain. Funding is intended to address inequalities experienced by disadvantaged communities, recognising that the current economic crisis will be exacerbating gambling harms and risk of experiencing gambling harms for many people.
Aims/priorities: The initial phase of the programme focused on community businesses looking to learn how digital skills could help their business develop and grow.
The programme is now expanding to include support to help community businesses become more environmentally sustainable.

Aims/priorities: The grant funding is for proposed services and activities that directly support victims and survivors of child sexual abuse at a national level in England and Wales and take place over a three-year period (2022/23 to 2024/25).
Who can apply? Only voluntary sector organisations, either as a single organisation or multi-organisation consortium, may apply for this funding.
Aims/priorities: Grants are available to local not-for-profit groups for projects which expand access to quality and affordable travel equipment and journeys, and ensure disabled people have the same opportunities to make decisions about how they travel in the UK.
Aims/priorities: The Community Business Trade Up Programme is provided by Power to Change, an independent charitable trust endowed by the National Lottery Community Fund. It aims to supports community businesses in England to create better places. The programme is administered by the School for Social Entrepreneurs (SSE), which helps people to develop the skills, strengths and networks they need to tackle society’s biggest problems.
