We are relaunching our Community Explorer network across neighbourhoods in Tameside as a way for small and grassroot organisations to connect, share information and provide peer support.
Aims/priorities: Grants are available to registered charities for projects which support vulnerable beneficiaries and build community resilience across the UK.
Funding is intended to support the delivery of projects in the following areas:

Aims/priorities: The fund will provide grants and support for businesses and organisations in Greater Manchester’s “foundational” or “everyday” economy to trial innovative new ideas and improved ways of working. The grant funding will be in 2 stages: stage 1 will provide £10,000 grants for up to 40 projects to develop and test innovations and ideas, followed by stage 2 where £60,000 grants will be available for up to 10 projects, to develop the best ideas from stage 1. Participants will receive support on innovation and be invited to join a new community of innovators. The
Aims/priorities: The Greater Manchester Green Spaces Fund will help Greater Manchester to become greener, fairer and more prosperous, by giving small grants to communities in greatest need to create or enhance green space. The fund is focused on three principles:

Working with a resident focus has never been more important as we respond to the Cost of Living Crisis, so it’s vital we are all equipped on how to do this. Building on the good practice that we already deliver, we want to ensure that our teams have the key knowledge and skills to deliver support confidently and resiliently as part of our no wrong front door approach.
Aims/priorities: This fund has been organised by a partnership of Greater Manchester charitable support bodies* to help local community organisations provide welcome and support for people who arrive here, working alongside local authorities and those who are offering to accommodate people arriving from Ukraine.
Who can apply? constituted voluntary, community or social enterprise (VCSE) sector organisations operating in Greater Manchester
Grant amount: up to £1000
Aims/priorities: The broad purpose of UK Community Foundations is to promote and support local charitable and community activity.
All UK Community Foundations members subscribe to common interests and share a vision about community-based philanthropy. Community foundations can meet all areas of community need, examples of which are as follows:
Aims/priorities: Funding is intended to support emerging/developing frailty service delivery models to ensure high quality care at the end of life.
Who can apply? Applications will be accepted from adult members hospices which are members of Hospice UK
Grant amount: It is expected that 10 to 15 grants of up to £50,000 will be made.
